Roger Gunn

Introduction

Take golf to the next level.

One of the most sought after teachers on the West Coast

Roger Gunn is a veteran tournament player who has played on tours around the world and has won more than 25 professional tournaments. Since dedicating his life to golf instruction, he has become one of the most sought after teachers on the West Coast. He is also a class “A” teaching professional who believes that the beginning golfer doesn’t need to hear the same information as the player trying to win the club championship. This belief has given him the motivation to create “Taking It To The Next Level In Golf”, bringing ability specific instruction to the game of golf.

After a successful college career where he was named First Team All-Pac 10 at UCLA, he turned professional in 1985. After doing so, Roger began playing on the European Tour and continued playing on various Tours over the next several years. He has held teaching positions at a variety of golf clubs and has taught an impressive list of professional golfers as well as celebrities. These include: Will Smith, Pierce Brosnan, Chad Everett, Lyle Waggoner, Richard Roundtree, Gary Sinise, Bob Eubanks, and Craig T. Nelson. Ryder Cup Team members and PGA Tour stars, Tom Lehman and Steve Pate have this to say about his teaching abilities: “Roger is a great player, and has turned into an even better teacher. I’m proud to call him a friend,” commented Lehman. Pate added, “Roger Gunn is one of the very few people that I will allow to watch me and help me with my swing.”

In 1999, Roger was nominated for SCPGA’s Club Fitter for the Year, and in 2000, he was named Club Fitter of the Year for the SCPGA. He also received Southern California’s Prestigious Teacher of the Year award in 2001.

In addition to his teaching and playing experience, Roger was the host of the Radio Golf Pro Show, he is an award-winning writer that has written several instructional articles for various golf publications, a recognized club designer, and has acted as a consultant for product development for C.R. Sport.
